Who we are

Everybody knows that flowers, as all the beautiful things, are going to wither too quickly; as well as the beautiful places of our land, once uncontaminated, if abandoned to the negligence whose human is able to do, don’t have a better chance, and they wither too. Everybody knows that men who are able to see the horizon further away than their fingers are not many, and that they bet against the most frightful opponent: The time.

Giovanni, a Sardinian born in Alguer, with his dark and salty face that could remind the hundreds of faces of which are full the Mediterranean docks, has been able to do and win that bet. In fact twenty years ago, with the sea in his heart, he made his first landing at the Bombarde.

When at that time no one trusted these coasts, tourism in Alguer was fading with a single establishment. Now dating back to the early 1960s, Giovanni settled in this place. Step by step, he has built up over the years, in the true meaning of the word, with his own hands, all that you can appreciate today at the Bombarde, thanks also to a State administration that for a couple of years has been able to decentralise and to diversify the tourism in a more environmental and a natural way.

And what about the group of people that cooperated with Giovanni? One example: Luigi.

To see him you probably wouldn’t give him a single euro, but he is definitely the living proof of  ’doesn’t matter how you look like’; he came from the Caprera Club Med, where he made his own bones as instructor of sailing, worked also for the National Italian military sailing, he is actually one of the best sailors in our island, and even so he came to the Bombarde.

Luigi lives in Barcelona during the winter, where he works as swimming pools instructor but as soon as the first summer comes, he comes back in his Alguer. You will always find him at your disposal, maybe a little bit sleepy during the morning…but always ready to meet you, really loved by all the children who attend the beach and this because of his innate sympathy.

Our team is composed by expert barmans, assistants, instructors of all the various sports that here can be practised. Everybody is highly specialised  and qualified.
